This renewal course is not for the inexperienced! No learning stations, but science overview. Then on to testing which includes CPR/AED, megacode, airway, and written evaluation.
The American Heart Association Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support course is totally redesigned to incorporate new science evidence from the 2010 Guidelines and a new teaching methodology. Through the ACLS course, healthcare providers will enhance their skills in the treatment of the adult victim of a cardiac arrest or other cardiopulmonary emergencies. ACLS emphasizes the importance of basic life support CPR to patient survival; the integration of effective basic life support with advanced cardiovascular life support interventions; and the importance of effective team interaction and communication during resuscitation.

BLS for Healthcare Providers - Renewal - $35 (regularly $70)
The American Heart Association (AHA) BLS HCP Online Renewal is based on the American Heart Association 2010 Guidelines for Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation and Emergency Cardiovascular Care. This online course is Part 1 of Healthcare Provider Renewal Certification. It provides a review for healthcare providers who have had prior CPR training. When combined with Part 2, the appropriate hands-on skills session, the online course will meet all the requirements for the American Heart Association's Course for Healthcare Provider Renewal. Cards will be issued to participants who successfully complete both the online and the hands-on skill portions of the course.
Fee includes online course, written exam and skills test with an instructor. Training center will contact with access information for your online course within 24 hours of registration. There might be a longer delay on weekends or holidays. The skills portion will be held during your ACLS or PALS class.
There is no manual required for the online course.
